LiVevo creates a buzz at Bizzone
The Bizzone Business Expo has become the largest event for business in New Zealand and LiVevo was fortunate to be one of the 170 Bizzone Business Expo exhibitors showcasing our business at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland on 27-29 May. It was a fascinating event, with some great businesses on show.
Of course, we offered massage on our stand and that proved to be a great drawcard (it always does — it's a great marketing tool for tradeshows and expos). We had a lot of interest for our corporate and on-site massage services, many enjoyed the free massages and a welcome recline in our beanbag seats!
So far, the show has been a great event for us — not only were we able to provide information at our exhibitors stand, but we were also on hand to offer free massages in the OGGI Exhibitors lounge — a real bonus for flagging exhibitors with tired bodies and feet!
Look out for us at the Wellington and Christchurch Bizzone expos:
Wellington - 22-24 July, Christchurch - 5-7 August.

LiVevo at Esprit store opening
What a great idea for a store opening — offer your shoppers a free massage with their purchase! The LiVevo massage team were invited by MORE FM to take part in an in-store promotion for the opening weekend of Esprit in Westfield St Lukes, Auckland.
Not only did shoppers receive a free LiVevo massage but they also went into a draw to win a $1000 Esprit wardrobe.

A LiVevo massage - just an iPhone call away
A strange thing happened this week when LiVevo got a very unusual request for a massage from a guy that was waiting in a queue. This was not just any queue. The particular guy was 22 year old university student Jonny Gladwell who was queuing for three days and three nights outside the Auckland Vodafone store in cold winter weather conditions to be the first person in the world to buy the latest 3G Apple iPhone.
Just as many had suspected, it turns out this was part of a very smart Yellow Pages campaign to see how long you could survive on the streets of Auckland using nothing but Yellow Pages online. Jonny was paid $50 an hour and given $1,000 spending money to tide him over during his wait for 'that phone' - a LiVevo massage was one of the things Jonny felt he really needed after a rough sleep on hard concrete the night before.
Yellow Pages online helped Jonny through his three-day, three-night wait and then set up this website (http://jonny.yellowpagesgroup.co.nz), all in a matter of days, to celebrate the businesses (of course all available through Yellow Pages) that made his stay outside the Auckland Vodafone store a little easier.

Massage makes the run much more fun
Auckland's annual HSBC Round the Bays fun run yesterday drew another huge crowd, estimated at around 45,000 people and was the biggest one yet for LiVevo. It was amazing to see 20 of LiVevo's massage team this year spread across 6 corporate marquees where as always eager staff really appreciated their post-event massage.
Massage is not only a great way to reward staff after this event but also helps to relieve pain, prevent injury and speed recovery time particularly for the more serious athletes that ran the 8.4km!
LiVevo are in real hot demand at these sporting events! Contact us now to book your LiVevo massage therapists for next year's RTB - don't forget the Auckland Marathon coming up in October!

LiVevo's young, vibrant team add some extra fun at your massage tent

Gradual Process Injuries more prevalent among staff
Just what we've been telling our clients for years! Gradual Process Injuries (GPI - previously known as RSI or OOS) are on the up and employers are now starting to notice an increase in workplace injury claims. Costs associated with GPI are apparently around $28 million a year!
Massage is proven to relieve symptoms of GPI's which are musculoskeletal disorders affecting the muscles, tendons and nerves in the hands, arms and upper back. Massage is a soft tissue therapy that helps to reduce the pain by relaxing the tense muscles that have been over-stimulated by ongoing repetitive movements.
The article that appeared in today's NZ Weekend Herald points out that "Investing in prevention is good for a company's productivity. Workers who are in pain don't work as well, it's as simple as that."
